This is also the first ever World Cup to be hosted in Asia, the other being the 2022 World Cup hosted by Qatar twenty years later and the first World Cup to be held outside of Europe and the Americas. The general secretary of South Korea’s bidding committee, Song Young-shik, stated that FIFA was interested in staging some matches in North Korea in order to aid Korean reunification, but it was ruled out.
The FIFA Organising Committee decided ahead of the draw to place the defending champions (France) in Group A while the co-hosts South Korea and Japan were placed in Group D and Group H respectively. The procedure for the draw comprised the following six steps:

If this game were to be rearranged into an unconventional fighting game, it could potentially skyrocket into a very popular position in the console gaming realm. Imagine if this game were designed to work more in the vein of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and the players were able to choose their contestant and duke it out mid-race in whatever ridiculous manner they desired. This would redirect the core gameplay to a balance between getting the jockeys ahead and attacking competitors at opportune moments. Not only would it give the game a wider variety of outcomes (since nothing would have to be predetermined), it’d also put the focus on the gameplay — where it rightfully should be in a video game.

It allows any player to tailor huge aspects of the game to their liking so that the experience is right for them, which should just be an industry norm at this point. The aforementioned QTE for eating snacks can be turned off, for example. And regardless of one’s point of view on the notorious “yellow paint” wayfinding markers, there are options to disable them entirely, or to change their color and opacity so that they’re still visible but more understated.
With the help of some companions, including ND-5, a suave android with a killer coat, and the aforementioned little critter Nix, who can be a useful ally in combat and exploring the world. Other companions briefly appear in the story trailer during a monologue, though we don’t know if they join Kay’s crew.
